They were trying to get us to upgrade from a 2 bdm Spa Tower to a 3 bdm Spa Tower ($40,000). They told us about the new Vida Lifestyle program in which you are issued Vida Dollars for every dollar you pay in maintenance fees (One for One) and would give us a $4660 bonus in Vida Dollars for upgrading.

We were discussing the details of the Vida Lifestyles program with our salesman and his supervisor. They both told us that we could use 100% of the Vida dollars on the first Friday of the Month toward airfare to the Resort as long as we made it part of a package, like adding a rental car. Based on that, we decided to upgrade.

They both lied to us!!!! Once we got home and called the Lifestyle Company they had no idea what we were talking about.

I don't understand how the First Friday Vida dollars vs. $0 cash game is played.

I waited for two different wine packages to become available and clicked on the "View Claim Details" at zero seconds. Twice the words "SOLD OUT" instantly appeared. Who claimed the wine set and how?

I expected to be a buyer with my VIDA Dollars, even if there were only one set because I reacted so fast.

But why advertise the wine package if there is only one set. How is this doing anything but

making VIDA dollar holders mad as hornets.

WE HAD THE SAME SCENARIO EXCEPT IT WAS $59,000.00 TO UPGRADE TO A 3 BEDROOM IN SPA TOWER. ALSO, THE VIDA DOLLARS WERE USED DOLLAR FOR DOLLAR AND COULD BE USED FOR AIRFARE!

WE CAME HOME AND ALSO CALLED LIFESTYLES AND FOUND THIS TO BE NOT TRUE AT ALL!!!!!!!!!! VERY UNHAPPY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is the new type of lies they have to use because their rental, resale has been taken away for the time being. Just like the rental, resale pitch the Vida dollars are pretty useless, you're purchasing at inflated prices so after the "discount" you're right back at full retail.

Total insult!

They're trying to clean up their act because Cirque (who open in Cancun in Nov) probably are concerned about the damage the Mayan will do to their brand, rightfully so.
