Wow how quickly we find out that we have been deceived this morning. We just upgraded to the Kingdom of the Sun (Cirque Du Soleil) after spending about $22,000. We were told that we get our maintenance paid back in Vida Dollars which we can use to buy items off their Vida website which their sales person (Joe and Camela) said is like "Amazon and Expedia". Now we are reading that Vida Dollars are essentially worthless and the deals on their Amazon/Expedia website is no deal at all.

I was a happy member with the Grand Mayan and told all our friends and family how we loved the Grand Mayan. Unfortunately, now we felt we have been completely lied to. We were also given 10 Ambassador vouchers that we can give to friends and family but now I don't think I will subject them to this injustice.

Vidanta, if you are reading this, please resolve this injustice.

Reason of review: Lying by omission.

Monetary Loss: $22300.

Preferred solution: Full refund.

Location: Mexico City, Capital District

I am confused. I was told the 5 hotels at the Cirque Du Soleil theme park would be hotels, not timeshares.

Not surprised!

We upgraded from Grand Mayan to a 2 bedroom Grande Luxxe Spa Tower at Riviera Maya a few years ago when it was under construction.

One of the key things we used a lot was the registry collection. They told us how the points / cost for registry would work when we purchased but when they actually implemented the registry exchange we couldn't use it the way they told us.

I've called that same # a few times since then and Vidanta / Luxxe essentially told me "it is what it is" and I haven't used them since. Too bad because Vidanta looks like they have lot of new product but it is hard to be a loyal customer when things like this happen to you and you read about the same unfulfilled promises from others.

I'm sure Karen Rose will chime in if not call her 800 292 **** she will hopefully offer you a refund in exchange for your retraction. Really is a shame, sounds like you were an Ambassador before hand ....now for 22k they burn you.

Hey Cirque, you getting this?

Guest

Ha! Exactly my point, you got caught in the Vida dollars BS, their replacement for the rental scam which caught me.

Another similarity.....their use of Cirque du Soleils credibility. I hope Cirque is getting a % on sales because Vida Sales is abusing their brand as one of their props

We upgraded to Luxe with the promise of these dollars and future golf, then retracted our agreement while in Mx before we left because we found out the same thing from other members by the pool that were mad about their upgrades over the previous year. We are Bliss members are are disappointed that we never get to stay there because it gets booked out by Luxe members who they give preference to over us.
